Most of you have not heard from me for awhile, I tried to keep up with the social media demand, but the covid pandemic hit me hard. Not financially, only emotionally thank goodness.
I came back from a 2 week vacation in Maui on March 12 – right into the beginning of the lock-down. My family and I self quarantined in three different houses in Calgary for 2 weeks. This was easy for my brother, who is an introvert, but all I wanted to do was hug and kiss my niece and nephew and Obi Wan, their crazy labradoodle! I am a hugger, and very close to my family so self isolation has been tough on me.
But nothing like what the Bride’s and Groom’s of summer 2020 will have to deal with. My heart goes out to all of the people that were planning weddings this year. Their has been many cancellations and postponed weddings, very sad for all. I have been working in the wedding industry for almost 16 years, more than 9 years with my own company and we have seen nothing like this. So at this time we need to stick together and try to stay safe and healthy. Let’s be thankful for being strong Canadians, and concentrate on helping each other through this difficult time.
Let me assure you we will get through this! I am willing to help anyone who needs it! For all guests, if you need to change invitation dates, or send out postponement cards I will give you a percentage off the order. I believe everybody needs a break, so depending on orders I will make sure you see a 15-20% discount on any change items due to covid.
I am taking this quite time to refresh the website and add a variety of new online invitations. You will see this in the coming months. I am also working hard at creating new product for my stationery line on Etsy “Paragon”, as we will be selling our products for the second year at the Spruce Meadows Christmas Show this coming November.
Please note that I have a home studio and am cleaning like mad, and you are welcome to visit me at my home for an appointment to talk about stationery anytime! Please give me a shout! 403.984.4552.
