Rustic Invitations are popular for Calgarian’s as we live so close to the mountains and have such a beautiful outdoor environment! Couples are wanting to bring the outdoors in when creating their wedding style.
There are still many ways to create unique rustic wedding stationery. Perhaps a wood engraved invitation will help set the stage. The save the date gave just a taste of what was to come for the invite. We kept it a smaller size, with the same colours and pretty silk knot for ‘tying the knot’. For the invite we paired a beautiful cherry wood paper with cream and blush paper, and beige silk ribbon. The pocket invitation is a great format for out-of-towners. Common extra information cards include accommodations, directions and reply. The invite is roughly $12 – $16 a piece depending on the number to print, paper choices and assembly options.
We carried through this rustic theme with a branch & birds silhouette image throughout the stationery pieces. This helped capture a soft, romantic, nature inspired style.
We had fun with a circular cut menu, which fits nicely onto each guests dinner plate. Guest place cards have been cut into the shape of a bird and placed on each wine glass. Favour tags cut out of wood say ‘spread the love’, tied to home made jars of jam for the guests. The program is simple and classy.
